Testing Weight And Calibration Weight
Testing Weight And Calibration Weight is used to ensure that your electronic weighing scales, weighbridge are weighing correctly Legal Metrology Department and Weight & Measurement Department recommend that they are checked with calibrated weights on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis depending on how important the measurement is to your product or process and calibration of weighing instruments is mandatory by Legal Metrology department as it’s considered in public affair sector.
According to the Legal Metrology Department, every weighing machine or Instrument must be calibrated and have calibration certificates on an annual basis. But there are a lot of other errors in the weighing machine which cause calibration error that’s why Cast iron weight is needed.
UP Scales have an official Legal Metrology Department license for providing calibrated and certified Testing Weight And Calibration Weight. UP Scales provide a complete range of certified Testing Weight And Calibration Weight with certificate starting from 1 mg, 2 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg, 200 mg, 500 mg, 1 gm, 2 gm, 5 gm, 10 gm, 20 gm, 50 gm, 100 gm, 200 gm, 500 gm, 1 kg, 2 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg, 20 kg, 50 kg, 100 kg, 200 kg, 500 kg, 1000 kg, 2000 kg, 5000 kg and 10000 kg.
Types of Testing Weight And Calibration Weight
1. Cast Iron Bar & Hex Calibration Weights
These weights are the most common type of cast iron weight used for testing industrial weighing scales, commercial weighing scales, and retail weighing scales.
The maximum error in these cast iron weight is nearly 0.005% which is approved by Legal Metrology Department
The hex weight is designed to be easily lifted by a single person.
2. Brass calibration weights
Brass cylindrical weights are available in 1 gm, 2 gm, 5 gm, 10 gm, 20 gm, 50 gm, 100 gm, 200 gm, 500 gm, 1 kg, 2 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg. Brass calibration weights are generally used where weight can come into contact with water. They are more resistant to water.
3. Stainless-steel calibration weights
Stainless steel cylindrical weights are a very good choice for Calibration weights. This stainless steel weight is most resistant to water and other contaminants. Stainless steel test weights are stable enough for them to be supplied in higher accuracies than iron or brass calibration weight
4. Milligram Calibration Weights
All weights below 1g accuracy are called Milligram Weights. These weights are made of Nickel sheet and come in various shapes
5. Slotted Calibration Weights
These weights are used to calibrate force gauges, crane scales, or other suspended weighing scales. The slotted weights are discs with slots in them and are designed to sit on the hanger. Weights are made of iron or brass
6. Block Weights for forklifts and cranes ( For Weighbridge Calibration)
These weights are used for testing high capacity weighing machines or weighbridge/Truck scales.
All the Testing Weight And Calibration Weight are provided by us are approved by Legal Metrology Department and Weight & Measurement Department and have a calibration certificate with them. And UP Scales have Legal Metrology Department license for providing government-approved testing weights if you need government-approved testing weight please call us on 9899008683.
